• Following the recent announcement of his departure from the European Union and after the early elimination of Euro, Silverstone comes as a new hope for English pride.

In recent weeks England has starred in multiple headlines for different reasons. While announced that the country will soon cease to form part of the European Union – a situation that will impact their economic and political situation – the sporting aspect the England soccer was eliminated from the European Championship just in the second round by Iceland – an opponent who had never attended such competition.

That said, the Silverstone Grand Prix – to be held this weekend – represents a golden opportunity for both England and his compatriots, show what they are made.

The most latent hope seems to be the current world champion, Lewis Hamilton, who with each new round of the championship has been reprising his level and is now just 11 points from his German teammate Nico Rosberg – pilot who has taken the reflectors in the first third of the season.

McLaren’s Jenson Button, who also knows what it is to be world champion, will continue to seek to score points to get closer to the top ten in the drivers’ standings. Similarly, Jolyon Palmer – Renault team – try to score his first points of the season using its position as a local.

The three British drivers will do their best for this July 10 to give joy to theirs – while in France the final of Euro who disputed. However, we must wait to see if Hamilton, Button or Palmer may extol the English people reaching the top of the podium at Silverstone.

We still remember their participation in the FORMULA 1 GRAND PRIX OF MEXICO 2015®, where Mexican fans – plus crown the victory of Nico Rosberg – recognized the efforts of Hamilton who took second place, while Button peaked at number 14 . This 2016 will mark the first time that Palmer will run the already renewed Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez.
