Concluye el segundo día del FORMULA 1 GRAN PREMIO DE MÉXICO 2017 con la posibilidad de que el campeonato se defina el día de mañana

October 28 th , 2017.

Day two of the FORMULA 1 GRAN PREMIO DE MÉXICO 2017 comes to an end with the possibility of becoming a title decider tomorrow

  • Hamilton is getting closer to being crowned World Champion at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez.
  • Checo Perez will start tenth tomorrow and wants to give his fans something to celebrate with the race they deserve.
  • An attendance of 113,068 people was registered
  • Mexican fans are in for a treat this Sunday, October 29th , as Lewis Hamilton is most likely to win his fourth Drivers’ World Championship at Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez in Mexico City.If that is the situation, Hamilton will become the third driver from his country, and the fourth overall to be crowned for the FIA Formula 1 World Championship in Mexican soil. “Shoot, it’s getting close,” said the Mercedes driver after his victory in the USA last weekend – which got him 66 points of advantage over his nearest challenger, Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel. As long as the brit from Mercedes does not finish lower than fifth at the FORMULA 1 GRAN PREMIO DE MÉXICO 2017, and even with Vettel winning, the result will be enough to turn him into World Champion once again.Should this be the case, tomorrow would not be Mexico’s first time as a title decider host. Three times before, Mexico already had the privilege to be the scenario for the Championship title decider during the country’s first edition as a Formula 1 venue. This chance only added more excitement to the FORMULA 1 GRAN PREMIO DE MEXICO 2017’s second day which was packed with adrenaline after a qualifying session that exceeded fans’ expectations thanks to Vettel’s impressive performance, as he did a spectacular job securing the pole.

On the other hand, local and favourite driver Checo Pérez will start 10th on the FORMULA 1 GRAN PREMIO DE MEXICO 2017’s grid, four positions behind his Force India teammate, Esteban Ocon. “Today hasn’t gone as I was hoping and that’s very disappointing.

We have been very competitive all weekend, but we couldn’t achieve the result we wanted at the most important moment.

I was quite satisfied in Q1, and our pace showed a lot of promise, but as the conditions changed, we weren’t able to respond. We changed our tyre warm-up routine, and I lost all my feeling with the car,” said Pérez.

“Tomorrow’s race will be challenging, but our car has very good pace. I want to give my fans something to celebrate: all weekend I have received an incredible amount of support and today they deserved a lot more.

I was happy to be able to speak to all of them at the start of the session, and I hope we can give them a better result tomorrow,” added the Mexican driver.

The day had a total assistance of 113,068 happy fans who supported the different teams and drivers during the qualifying session ahead of the FORMULA 1 GRAN PREMIO DE MÉXICO 2017 race – which promises to be one of the best of the season as it could become a title decider.
