Adiós, Alonso // Farewell Fernando

• FORMULA 1 GRAN PREMIO DE MÉXICO^TM to prepare a unique Mexican farewell for the McLaren driver from the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez on race day.

Following the announcement of Fernando Alonso’s retirement, the FORMULA 1 GRAN PREMIO DE MÉXICO^TM organisers want to honour and celebrate his outstanding achievements and what better way to do it than by inviting F1^®’s most energetic crowd to show their appreciation for the Spanish driver.

On race day, October 28, we ask fans all over the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez grandstands to say goodbye to one of Formula 1^®’s greatest by wearing masks of Alonso’s face while cheering him on and giving the driver a standing ovation.

To get involved with this special farewell, fans will be able to download and print the mask from the ‘Championship’ section of the FORMULA 1 GRAN PREMIO DE MÉXICO^TM official website – www.mexicogp.mx.

Fans from all over the world are invited to join this special farewell to the McLaren driver at the FORMULA 1 GRAN PREMIO DE MÉXICO 2018^TM. Until August 31, fans can enjoy a 23% discount on the purchase of tickets for the Mexican race directly in www.formula1.com.
